A residence with 4 large guest rooms; each has a private bath, that accommodate overnight stays. Our guests enjoy full use of the Front Parlor, Dining Parlor, Front Porch, and the Courtyard. The kitchen and owners unit are private only.
Upon entering through the beautiful beveled and leaded glass front door, you get a glance at our extensive collection of New Orleans Antique City Maps, and portraits of several well-known local personalities from the early 1800s.
Front Parlor—Within this room you will appreciate the significant amount of fine details that have been preserved over the years, from the crystal chandeliers to the original plaster molding and plaster medallions on the ceiling. Original Heart of Pine floors have been in place for over 160 years. The room is beautifully furnished for your relaxation as you unwind.
Dining Parlor—The room is appointed with the original plaster molding and ceiling medallions, crystal chandelier, and a very comfortable dining table that seats 8-10 people for continental breakfast service. A guest refrigerator is in the corner of the room as well as have an iMac computer and printer to print the boarding passes or check email while you are away.
Front Porch—Porch Sitting or Stoop Sitting is a very popular New Orleans pastime in the late afternoon or early evening. Many guests enjoy their first cup of coffee or a late night glass of wine or cocktail sitting on the front porch watching the world pass by. The Marigny is a fun neighborhood with an unbelievable number of colorful characters on the streets every day. Most are wearing some type of costume.
